I was quite satisfied with S/S 13 fashion month so far, especially with London Fashion Week. And then I was reminded of why Paris is my favourite out of the four big fashion weeks. On the second or third day, I realized that there were too many collections that I loved and I was going to have to make my review in two parts. We've passed the halfway point of Paris Fashion Week S/S 13 and here are my favourite collections so far.
Fashion month seems to be flashing before my eyes. With Milan Fashion Week finished, only Paris is left now. In my opinion, the S/S 13 Milan Fashion Week had many good collections but not as many absolutely amazing ones. There were quite a few letdowns from the bigger brands. When it came to individual collections, my opinions seemed to differ a lot from other opinion's I've heard. Without further ado, here are my favourites from Milan Fashion Week.
Dolce & Gabbana
For Milan Fashion Week, different collections made my list for different reasons. For example, I can't say that I loved all the pieces in the Dolce & Gabbana collection, but it was definitely a collection with a vision, and maybe vision is what Milan was missing this season. A lot of people hated Dolce & Gabbana, but I thought it was absolutely brilliant, albeit a little repetitive. I chose Alberta Ferretti for the collection's sheer beauty. I chose Mila Schon because it hasn't received much attention, but the pieces look like they're lovely to wear.

My last model streetstyle post was all about dresses and skirts. This times time, I've decided to switch things around. Here are some streetstyle photos that stood out to me of models wearing trousers or shorts.
A few days ago, Garance Doré tweeted, "The style in London is so different than anywhere else, it feels free and has its own language." This is exactly how I feel about London Fashion Week and this is exactly why I love it so much. The collections don't pretend to be anything that they really aren't. It was incredibly difficult to choose my favourite collections and my favourite looks within the collections. Anyway, today was the last day of the S/S 13 season's London Fashion Week so here are some that stood out to me.
Sass & Bide
Giles (my favourite collection of all)
It seems that there was more hype surrounding London Fashion Week than ever before, but I think the collections definitely lived up to the hype. I still wish designers showing in London would receive a little more attention because there are some truly amazing shows there. (All images are from style.com.)
New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 has come to an end, and London Fashion Week has started. I admit I was disappointed with New York Fashion this season. I found the creativity and level of cohesion in collections somewhat lacking, but I nonetheless found a few collections that I love.
The Gary Graham collection was very impressive. There was no runway show but this form of presentation brings the deserved attention to the lovely details.
S/S 13 might have been my favourite Donna Karan collection ever. This was far beyond the usual perfect draping and I loved too many pieces to count.
I'm not really much of a Marchesa fan and I usually compare their clothes to a wedding cake. This season's collections really exceeded my expectations.
This season was the first time I've ever heard of Calla, designed by the Canadian designer Calla Haynes. I fell in love with her work instantly.
